Job summary

The Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a Community Recreation support specialist to assist with MWR programs, events, and services in Coronado, CA.

You will handle customer service, registrations, rentals, and POS transactions, coordinate activities, and help promote leisure programs in the local base community.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and strong communication to ensure safe, enjoyable recreation experiences for service members and families.

Qualifications

• Combination of experience related to customer service and or recreation activity-based functions.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Must be able to work independently, make sound decisions and have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of the goals, principles, techniques and procedures used in organizing, planning and conducting leisure time activities.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service, information and support of Community Recreation programs and activities.
• Collects fees from customers associated with sales of tickets, retail and rental items, as well as from classes and trips.
• Maintains inventory controls and completes inspections for rental equipment.
• Assists in planning and execution of events, workshops and outings.
• Submits event after-action reports and enters program data.
