Job summary

Quanta Services is seeking a skilled Medium Voltage (MV) Termination Technician to join our team on critical power infrastructure and commercial projects. You will safely prepare, splice, and terminate 5kV to 35kV cables, reading one-line diagrams and schedules, while following safety protocols.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on MV experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on medium voltage cable splicing and termination.
• 5kV–35kV shielded cable systems (EPR or XLPE).
• Valid driver's license; OSHA 10/30 or NETA certification is a plus.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, stand long periods, and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Install terminations on 5kV to 35kV cables (cold shield, heat shrink, tape-shielded, pre-molded).
• Make secure connections on transformers, switchgear, and breakers.
• Read one-line diagrams and cable schedules; follow manufacturer instructions.
• Conduct insulation resistance and continuity checks to verify quality.
• Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, and LOTO safety protocols.
