Job summary

R.R. Cassidy, Inc. is seeking a skilled Medium Voltage (MV) Termination Technician to join our team. You will safely prepare, splice, and terminate 5kV-35kV cables on critical power infrastructure and commercial projects.

You will travel extensively, with some assignments lasting several weeks, and work outdoors in varying weather while following OSHA, NFPA 70E, and LOTO protocols. We offer competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

3–5 years of hands-on medium voltage cable splicing and termination experience.
Strong understanding of 5kV-35kV shielded cable systems (EPR or XLPE).
Valid driver's license; OSHA 10/30 or NETA/able-splicer certification is a plus.
Lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

Perform Terminations: Install cold shrink, heat shrink, tape-shielded, and pre-molded terminations on 5kV-35kV cables.
Work with Gear: Make secure connections on transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
Read Blueprints: Follow one-line diagrams, cable schedules, and manufacturer instructions.
Test Systems: Conduct basic insulation resistance and continuity checks to verify work quality.
Follow Safety Rules: Adhere strictly to OSHA, NFPA 70E, and LOTO protocols
