Potomac Testing is seeking a skilled Medium Voltage Cable Splicer to join our team in Carmel, IN. You will install, splice, and terminate shielded MV power cables (5kV–35kV) and collaborate with project teams to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires hands-on expertise, adherence to safety practices, and ability to read construction drawings. Onsite work with occasional travel (20-30%), and opportunity to contribute to critical electrical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprenticeship advantageous.
• Proven MV cable splicing/termination experience with focus on safety.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform splicing and termination of shielded MV power cables using tape, connectors and kits.
• Collaborate with project teams to execute cable splicing and termination on schedule.
• Maintain safety; conduct regular assessments and follow confined space guidelines.
• Test spliced cables to ensure functionality and quality per standards.
• Document all splicing work and provide detailed reports.
