Job summary

Vertiv Corporation is seeking an Application Engineer to support MV power distribution solutions from 5kV to 38kV, including GIS and air-insulated configurations. You will develop accurate estimates, assist in design, and collaborate with sales and engineering to ensure customer requirements and industry standards are met.

The role emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, technical documentation, and ongoing interaction with customers to deliver optimized, cost-effective MV solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in power distribution, electrical systems, or related field.
• Experience with power distribution equipment and codes (ANSI/IEEE, IEC, NEC, UL, NEMA).
• Experience with MV products and power systems design.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in MV product selection and application.
• Assist customers in design and configuration of power distribution systems.
• Develop custom solutions considering efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility and performance.
• Work with sales and engineering to review specifications and prepare proposals.
• Participate in project planning, risk assessment and technical reviews.
• Interact with customers to resolve inquiries and ensure satisfaction.
• Conduct presentations, training, and site visits as needed.
• Prepare technical docs including layouts, schematics, and equipment specs.
• Maintain records of customer interactions and project details.
• Provide feedback for configuration tools development.
