Vertiv seeks a Sr. Manager, Application Engineering - Power Distribution to lead the team supporting MV Switchgear, LV Switchgear/Switchboards, and Busway.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, Engineering Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical power distribution, switchgear, switchboards, busway, or related equipment.
• Experience leading or supervising an engineering team.
• Strong knowledge of MV and LV power distribution systems and relevant standards (NEC, ANSI/IEEE, UL, NEMA, IEC).

Responsabilidades

• Lead, develop, and manage the Application Engineering team supporting MV Switchgear, LV Switchgear/Switchboards, and Busway.
• Provide technical leadership for product selection, configuration, application, and development of customer-specific power distribution solutions.
• Translate customer specifications into practical, manufacturable designs.
• Lead technical proposal development, including equipment configuration, scope definition, exceptions, and risk identification.
• Ensure accurate and competitive cost estimates covering materials, labor, engineering, testing, and execution requirements.
• Support Sales with technical discussions, reviews, proposals, and value-engineering alternatives.
• Ensure solutions comply with NEC, ANSI/IEEE, UL, NEMA, IEC, and other standards.
• Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to validate capability, manufacturability, cost, capacity, and risks.
• Establish consistent application engineering processes and proposal review requirements.
