Job summary

VoltaGrid is seeking a hands-on technician to operate and maintain medium voltage switchgear and controls at customer sites. The role emphasizes precise operation, troubleshooting, and safe, efficient execution of tasks.

Candidates should have 1–2+ years in related fields, a high school diploma, and a willingness to travel on a 14-on, 7-off schedule; drivers license is required and safety training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2+ years related experience preferred (oil/gas service, electrical).
• Willingness to work 14 days on, 7 days off rotational schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain medium voltage switchgear and controls.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs as needed.
• Connect electrical cables and ensure proper grounding.
• Maintain safety with PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Complete training including electrical safety and arc flash policies.
