Job summary

Danfoss Drives in Durham, NC seeks an engineer to own MV product testing and automation, ensuring performance and quality during NPI manufacturing. You will work with R&D, engineering and production to resolve test challenges and improve processes.

Required are a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, plus hands-on experience with LabVIEW/TestStand, data acquisition, and test equipment. Travel and extended standing may be expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing test and/or quality environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the functional testing process for MV products and automated test equipment, including testing of new products and repaired units to ensure performance and quality standards are met.
• Update, modify, and maintain test hardware and software, supporting reliable and efficient production testing environments.
• Analyze defects, scrap, and product failures, perform root cause analysis, and use data-driven insights to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
• Create and maintain quality records, process documentation, and customer shipment documentation while supporting compliance with relevant quality standards.
• Partner with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams by participating in design reviews, evaluating nonconforming materials, and providing technical support to resolve quality and test challenges.
