Job summary

BNY is seeking a Client Service Specialist to join a high-touch client service team supporting mutual fund shareholders and financial industry professionals within a leading financial services organization. This is a 6-month contract based in Lake Mary, FL, with an expectation of 4 days per week onsite. The work schedule is 8:30 a.m.

to 5:30 p.m. ET. Responsibilities include handling inbound calls, processing account transactions, explaining fund products, and guiding clients through portals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in financial services, preferably mutual funds or investment management.
• Experience in a call center or high-volume client service environment.
• Working knowledge of mutual fund products and account servicing.
• Familiarity with retirement and non-retirement accounts.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle approximately 20–30 inbound calls per day from mutual fund shareholders, broker-dealers, banks, and institutional clients, delivering professional, responsive, and high-touch support.
• Process account maintenance requests and financial transactions accurately, including retirement and non-retirement account servicing and retirement plan distributions.
• Explain mutual fund products, account features, policies, procedures, and documentation requirements clearly, helping clients understand their options and next steps within established guidelines.
• Investigate client inquiries, review account information, research service-related issues, and coordinate with internal teams to provide accurate and timely resolutions.
• Guide clients through website navigation, client portals, and web-based tools to help them access account information and complete servicing activities.
• Complete post-call documentation, maintain accurate account records, and handle NPPI in accordance with privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Develop a strong understanding of mutual fund products, servicing procedures, and applicable state-specific requirements while collaborating with team members.
