Position Overview
The Music Therapist is responsible for planning therapeutic and classroom music activities for individual students and groups which promote physical, cognitive, communicative, and psychosocial development and facilitates experiential learning of musical concepts, music appreciation, and musical skills.

The Carruth Center provides child-centered, developmentally appropriate and impactful therapy services to children and their families through collaboration, meaningful connections and quality interventions. The Carruth Center is a non-profit organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Education/Experience
Degree (B.M./B.A./B.S.) in Music Therapy or Equivalency Degree in Music Therapy minimum; or degree in music education with at least one or two years related experience and/or training
Computer Skills
Highly proficient in MS Office applications
Certificates
Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC credentials)
