Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a Music Therapist to deliver individual, dyad, and group music therapy and contribute to interdisciplinary treatment planning for students in special and alternative education settings.

The role emphasizes collaboration with treatment teams, supervision and professional development while maintaining licensure and meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Music Therapy from AMTA-approved program.
• Master’s degree in Music Therapy (MMT or M.A.) preferred.
• Board-certified MT-BC preferred.
• LPMT licensure in Illinois within 1 week of hire.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess and place students for service delivery.
• Provide individual, dyad, and group music therapy.
• Develop expressive therapy treatment plans.
• Document in student files per regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with treatment team via email/meetings.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Provide in-service training to team members.
• Maintain licensure per state and federal regulations.
