Qualifications

• Bachelor in Music Therapy from AMTA-approved program.
• Master’s degree in Music Therapy preferred (MMT or MA).
• Board-certified MT-BC preferred.
• IL LPMT licensure application within 1 week of hire.
• Strong communication with professionals, students and families.
• Ability to work independently at multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Observes and assesses students to determine service delivery.
• Provides individual, dyad, and group music therapy.
• Develops music therapy treatment plans.
• Documents in student files per regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with treatment teams via email and meetings.
• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Provides in-service training with therapy teams.
• Maintains licensure per state and federal regulations.
