Job summary

Legacy Lifecare VNA/Hospice is seeking a licensed Music Therapist to provide patient-centered sessions across our community care footprint. This PRN role offers a $75 per visit rate, and flexibility for daytime hours, with 5–20 hours weekly.

Responsibilities include tailoring sessions to patient goals, addressing relaxation, pain management and end-of-life support, traveling to homes and hospice facilities, and collaborating with families and care teams to align with the overall plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music therapy from an accredited program.
• Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) from an AMTA-approved program.
• Prior experience with end-of-life patients or in long-term care is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patient homes or hospice facilities.
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.

• Coverage area includes German Center (West Roxbury), ANRC (Jamaica Plain), Stone (Newton), BCL/Kaplan (Peabody) Revere, East Boston, Everett, Malden, Chelsea, and Winthrop.

Qualifications for Success:

• Bachelor's degree in music therapy or related field
• Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) from an AMTA-approved program
• Prior experience working with end-of life patients, or in a long-term care setting preferred
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to patient homes or hospice facilities.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
