Job summary

Legacy Lifecare Inc. is seeking a Music Therapist for the VNA/Hospice program in the Boston area. This PRN role pays $50 per visit and typically requires 5–20 hours per week with flexible daytime hours.

Deliver individualized music therapy sessions aligned with patient preferences and goals. Use music for relaxation, pain management, emotional processing, and end‑of‑life support, collaborating with patients, families and the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in music, education, human services, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience working with end‑of‑life patients, or in a long‑term care setting preferred.
• Experience performing music in healthcare, senior living, hospice, or community settings.
• Experience working with older adults, individuals with dementia, or patients receiving palliative or end‑of‑life care.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.
