Florida Gulf Coast University’s Bower School of Music seeks a Coordinator, Music Technology to oversee recording, livestreaming, and archiving of performances while coordinating day-to-day music technology operations.

The role includes developing introductory courses, training part-time OPS staff, ensuring fiscal compliance, and collaborating with videographers to deliver professional audio and video for concerts and student recitals.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
• Professional full-time experience in studio production or digital audio techniques.
• Experience operating personal computers with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) software.
• Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations and functionality of recital and rehearsal halls recording sessions.
• Coordinate the music technology needs of School of Music faculty in classes, choir, orchestra, band, and/or opera.
• Provide music technology resources for performances and auditions as required.
• Assist with the development of introductory level music technology courses.
• Monitor and comply with fiscal expenditures and guidelines per university policies and procedures.
• Coordinate, train, and schedule part-time OPS staff for the music instruction lab and concert/recital hall recordings.
• Serve as instructor of record for MUS 1360 Introduction to Music Technology (one credit) in fall and spring semesters.
• Participate in planning and development of music technology resources and curriculum.
• Record audio, video, and streaming of performances.
• Collaborate with videographer on video/audio recording workflows.
