Job summary

Collegium Charter School seeks a full-time staff member split 50/50 as Music Teacher and PAC Coordinator (.5 each). The role supports music instruction and oversees the Performing Arts Center operations, including events and outreach.

The candidate should hold PA Certification in Music Education PK-12 (or Technology PK-12) and bring classroom management, schedule coordination, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• A four-year college degree; PA Certification in Music Education PK-12, and/or Technology Education PK-12 (recommended).
• If certification is from a different state, PA certification must be obtained within a determined time frame.
• Demonstrated classroom teaching competence and ability to organize and coordinate work.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and stakeholders.
• Experience with scheduling and coordinating resources; familiarity with auditorium/tech needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop CCS curriculum aligned with CCS goals and objectives.
• Promote a safe classroom environment and effective instruction.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials; translate plans into learning experiences.
• Conduct ongoing assessment and adapt instruction to student needs, including special needs.
• Communicate with parents and involve them in students' education.
• Maintain records, grading and reporting for student activities and attendance.
• Enforce CCS policies and codes; uphold confidentiality and professional standards.
• Manage PAC operations; coordinate with internal/external groups and schedules.
• Collaborate with band and chorus directors for scheduling; supervise student assistants.
• Oversee box office, front-of-house and theater operations for CCST and events.
• Develop and administer educational/outreach programs for the PAC.
