Three Rivers Community Schools seeks a collaborative Assistant Band Associate & Performing Arts Technician to support both the district music program and facility operations at the Three Rivers PAC.
The role assists the Director of Bands with 6-12 instrumental instruction and oversees live sound, lighting, and AV for performances, events, and festivals. A strong, inclusive learning environment is essential.
We are seeking a collaborative, dynamic individual to serve as the Assistant Band Associate & Performing Arts Technician. This role provides dual support to the district’s music program and facility operations by assisting the Director of Bands with 6-12 instrumental music instruction and overseeing live event technology within the Three Rivers Performing Arts Center (PAC). The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and high-achieving environment for band students while maintaining a professional, technologically sound, and welcoming venue for district performances and events.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: Stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders/scaffolding, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for equipment setup and stage staging. Talk and hear clearly in both quiet indoor settings and loud/high-decibel rehearsal or outdoor event environments. Regularly lift, move, push, or carry sound equipment, lighting fixtures, instruments, and stage props weighing up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work is conducted in traditional classroom/rehearsal settings, auditorium/stage environments with low lighting or high noise levels, and outdoor locations (marching fields, stadiums) subject to varying weather conditions. Fast-paced work pace during live productions and event deadlines.
This position is Non-Union. Salary, terms and other conditions of employment established by the Board of Education.
This is an Non- Exempt FLSA position. Exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
