Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks a Music Teacher for grades 3-5 at our Arlington Lower School. You will teach music using the Great Hearts curriculum, foster a joyful, orderly classroom, and help students explore performance and theory.

You will collaborate with families and school leaders, participate in faculty life, and contribute to the academy’s mission of truth, goodness, and beauty. A Bachelor's degree is required; US work authorization is needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required for lead teaching role.
  • US work authorization required.
  • Criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom.
  • Provide academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address needs in a timely manner.
  • Uphold the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with families and foster strong home-school partnerships.
  • Participate in faculty collaboration, events, duties, and ongoing professional growth.
