Ultimately, our teachers strive to cultivate the minds and hearts of students in the wonder-filled pursuit of truth, beauty and goodness.**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.* Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.* Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.* Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.* Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.**Required/Preferred Education:*** Bachelor's (or higher) degree is required for a lead teaching role* Certification is not required for general education* Candidates must pass a TxDPS background clearance.* All majors are welcome to apply!**US Work Authorization is required.****Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.****Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.****This description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions.
