Description:

Elmhurst CUSD 205 is seeking a creative, collaborative, and dedicated Middle School Music Teacher to join our team as the next Choral and General Music Teacher for Sandburg Middle School. Minimum responsibilities include leading two daily choir classes, teaching general music classes for students in grades 6-8, and leading all applicable before and after school rehearsals and performances. Opportunities to be involved in drama, musical theater productions, and other extracurricular offerings may also be available.

The ideal candidate will inspire students through dynamic and engaging music instruction and will contribute to strengthening student and staff connections across elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Qualifications:

IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with Proper Endorsement required and registered in DuPage County.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Music Endorsement with high level of proficiency in choral/vocal music.
2. Proficiency on one or more string orchestra or band instruments.
3. Experience with middle school aged students.
