Key Responsibilities

• Provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students.
• Prepare and implement lesson plans for Music.
• Enforce and establish rules.
• Maintain student records following established procedures and practices.
• Prepare report cards.
• Communicate and interact with students, parents, staff, and the community.
• Attend planning meetings, team meetings, staff meetings, and other meetings as requested.
• Monitor use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitute teachers; include class lists and any special instructions.
• Monitor and evaluate student skill levels and outcomes.
• Create emergency lesson plans as required.
• Maintain regular, on-time attendance.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency plans for school, such as lockdown drills.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or current NC Licensure or an out-of-state equivalent or working toward licensure or degree in Music Education.
• Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
• Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
