Job summary

The University of Minnesota’s School of Music seeks an experienced Program Specialist to provide administrative support to the SOM Director and assist with undergraduate and graduate programs and admissions processes. This 100% in-person appointment reports to the Chief of Staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus five years of relevant office experience, including project management.
• Customer service experience in a busy front-office environment.
• Experience with databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for the School of Music Administrative Suite and visitors.
• Coordinate faculty search processes, meetings, travel, and related logistics.
• Coordinate faculty promotion and tenure cases and manage Director's calendar.
