Job summary

West Music in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Band, Orchestra, Combo, and Piano Sales Consultant to help customers find instruments, accessories, and resources to begin or grow their musical journey. Part-time and full-time roles available, with opportunities to engage school music families and educators.

You will build relationships, share musical knowledge, and drive sales while delivering exceptional customer experiences that support music education in the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in music education or retail sales preferred.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Proficient with computers and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and help select instruments and accessories.
• Drive sales by achieving individual goals.
• Provide product expertise on band, orchestra, piano categories.
• Conduct outreach via calls and emails to strengthen relationships.
• Assist with store merchandising and events.
• Maintain clean, welcoming sales floor.
• Support teammates and other departments.
