Job summary

Holland America-Princess (Holland America Dawson City Inn) is hiring a Musher in Juneau, Alaska to provide sled dog cart rides on designated trails and to care for the dogs. You will maintain a clean dog yard and work closely with Handlers, Vet Techs and Camp Manager to ensure guest safety and enjoyment.

Requirements include valid CPR and First Aid, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and legal work status in the U.S.; you must pass a drug test.

Qualifications

• Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must pass a drug test (including marijuana).
• Room and board provided.
• Seasonal position; with or without sled dogs.
• Prior mushing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide sled dog cart rides to clients on designated trails.
• Maintain a clean dog yard and work with Handlers, Vet Techs and Camp Manager.
• Maintain a positive outlook with dogs, guests, and coworkers.
• Provide a safe and informative tour for guests.
• Ensure that the Company’s operations function to the established quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned by the Camp Manager.

Mush dogs in the picturesque Sheep Creek Valley in Juneau, Alaska!

Mushers provide sled dog cart rides to clients on designatedtrails. Mushers willmaintaina positive outlook and attitude with dogs, guests, and coworkers.

Mushers ensure that all assigned sled dogs are cared for in a competent and careful manner.

Maintaining a clean dog yard and working closely with Handlers, Vet Techs and Camp Manager

Provide a safe and informative tour for guests

Ensure that the Company’s operations function to the established quality standards.

Other duties as assigned by the Camp Manager

Requirements
