Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming environment for guests.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and coverage at the Visitor Services Desk.
• Record attendance, visitor information, and guest feedback.
• Gather visitor information using various forms of technology to help inform our resources, guide their experience, and enhance their knowledge of the space.
• Educate and inform guests of upcoming events and exhibitions.
• Work closely with security team to ensure the safety and security of guests, works of art, and building.
• Maintain an understanding of museum functions and policies.
• Enforce and adhere to museum policies.
• Maintain visual tidiness of all public spaces as well as report maintenance issues to appropriate staff.
• Assist in setup and tear-down for both internal and external events.
• Serve as ambassador during internal and external events.
• Process sales of museum-related merchandise.
• Attend monthly training sessions with visitor services manager to stay up to date on museum operations.
• Have working knowledge of Sheldon’s collection and current exhibitions.
