Job summary

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, known as The Met, is seeking a Part-time Visitor Experience Ambassador to welcome and assist visitors at our iconic New York City sites. You will engage with guests, process admissions, sell memberships, and help manage crowd flow with professionalism.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, diverse environment, have experience with Tessitura, cash handling, and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• One year in customer-focused roles.
• Available weekends and holidays.
• Experience with Tessitura and VX technology.
• Excellent customer service and passion for the arts.
• Pay scale ranges are not disclosed.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming presence for visitors and members.
• Sell admissions, process group bookings, and memberships.
• Assist with crowd control and guide visitors to queues.
• Greet guests, answer questions, and resolve complaints.
• Stay updated on exhibitions, programs, and campaigns.
• Support events including member previews and special programs.
• Handle tickets, maintain POS readiness, and restock information.
