Job summary

Thanksgiving Point is seeking a MACU Museum of Ancient Life Programming Specialist to deliver world-class programming at Ashton Gardens and engage guests with hands-on exhibits and dinosaur displays.

This full-time role includes training Explorers, coordinating with managers, and ensuring high-quality guest experiences while supporting membership and program goals and upholding the organization’s values.

Qualifications

• Excellent presentation skills including ability to interact with groups of varying ages.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Positive attitude with strong guest service abilities.
• Ability to make independent decisions and work as part of a team.
• Organized, reliable, and professional at all times.
• Must be able to stand for long periods, lift 30 lbs, and speak fluent English.
• Experience in customer service, presentation, youth leadership, or museum work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class programming to guests at Thanksgiving Point Ashton Gardens with confidence and curiosity.
• Welcome, guide, and engage guests exploring one of the world’s largest mounted dinosaur displays and exhibits.
• Coordinate program support with the Programming Manager and customize programs for the venue.
• Train Explorers, demonstrate programming, and provide feedback for improvement.
• Interact with visitors at the front desk and within the venue to promote learning and curiosity.
• Support, train, mentor, and develop team members for programming.
• Collaborate with Guest Experience Manager and Programming Manager on farm experience success.
• Act as main contact for the team in management’s absence to resolve guest issues.
• Support the organization’s mission, values, vision and community engagement.
