Job summary

Thanksgiving Point Institute Inc. is seeking a Curiosity Guide to join our Education team in Utah. The role offers part‑time shifts, morning and afternoon, with a minimum of 15 hours per week, and may include Saturdays, holidays, and evenings. Compensation is $13 per hour, plus benefits and on‑the‑job training.

You will engage community members daily, guide learning experiences for diverse audiences, and help create safe, inclusive, and engaging classrooms both on site and in outreach settings.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or facilitating in informal or formal environments.
• Able to work independently in a highly collaborative, noisy workplace.
• Must maintain patience and professionalism at all times.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback with positivity.
• Knowledge of working with learners of all ages and abilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in, prepare for, and lead educational programs in onsite, school outreach and community outreach settings.
• Interact with and welcome program participants with confidence, compassion, and curiosity to ignite transformative learning and guide discovery.
• Ensure classrooms are fun, inclusive, safe, orderly, and an environment that promotes learning and engagement.
• Cultivate an environment where positive and meaningful experiences are abundant.
• Collaborate with Learning and Engagement staff to refine facilitated and unfacilitated education on and off property.
• Evaluate and improve participant experiences.
• Exemplify Thanksgiving Point’s Mission, Values and Policies with confidence and curiosity.
• Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Curiosity Guide Job Description

Requirements

• Experience teaching or facilitating in informal or formal environments
• Able to work independently in a highly collaborative, noisy workplaces, with patience and professionalism at all times
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback with postivity.
• Knowledge of how to work with learners of all ages and abilities is preferred.
• Physical requirements include standing for extended periods of time, lifting up to 30 lbs., climbing stairs, giving verbal instructions in English, bending, and manipulating small objects.
• Must be comfortable working indoors, outdoors, around animals, loud noises, and insects.
• Valid Utah driver’s license preferred, must pass an MVR.
• Ability to travel for several days preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a background check.
