Job summary

The Senator John Heinz History Center seeks a Full-time Security Officer to work in our Security Booth, Sunday through Thursday, 3PM – 11PM, with flexibility as needed. You will be the first and last point of contact in the building, monitoring security procedures to ensure safety of patrons, staff, and exhibits.

Responsibilities include operating cameras and security systems, assisting with risk management, and providing exceptional customer service while remaining friendly yet firm.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required with 2 years security experience.
• This position requires extreme attentiveness with security monitors, alarms, and execution of security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security procedures to ensure safety of patrons, staff, and facilities.
• Serve as first and last point of contact in the building, primarily via phone at night.
• Observe and operate security systems including cameras, alarms, and fire/burglar systems.
• Assist with risk management by locating, correcting and reporting threats.
