Job summary

Oklahoma Historical Society seeks a Program & Marketing Logistics Coordinator to manage scheduling for Learning & Engagement programs at the Oklahoma History Center in OKC and coordinate marketing for exhibitions and museum initiatives.

You will gather content, develop promotional timelines, and support campaigns across departments, collaborating with educators, staff, partners, and external organizations to promote events and programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, museum studies, business administration, education, event management, or related field; or equivalent.
  • Experience in marketing, communications, program or event coordination, museum operations, education, or nonprofit organizations preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate schedules, logistics, communications, and multiple projects or deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience developing promotional materials, coordinating communications, or supporting marketing initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with website content management, email marketing, social media, or graphic design software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scheduling and logistics for Learning & Engagement programs, including field trips, teacher workshops, outreach, tours, and public programs.
  • Serve as primary contact for Learning & Engagement scheduling inquiries; maintain calendars and records.
  • Coordinate marketing logistics for OHCM exhibitions, Learning & Engagement programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Gather program/exhibition information and develop promotional timelines, materials, and digital content.
  • Support promotional campaigns and outreach with schools, community organizations, and tourism partners.
  • Act as liaison between departments on marketing needs; track activities and evaluate outreach effectiveness.
  • Provide responsive customer service to staff, educators, visitors, volunteers, and partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
