Job summary

Oklahoma History Center Museum seeks a Student & Teacher Educator and Volunteer Coordinator to lead educational programs for students and educators and to grow and manage the volunteer program. The role collaborates with schools, colleges, and community partners to expand education opportunities and enhance visitor experiences.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in education or related fields, experience in program delivery, and volunteer management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, museum studies, history, public history, or related field.
• Experience developing or delivering educational programs; classroom experience preferred.
• Experience recruiting, coordinating, or managing volunteers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and facilitate educational programs for students, educators, and community groups.
• Build and maintain partnerships with schools, colleges, universities, and community organizations.
• Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention in support of OHS/OHC programs.
• Track and evaluate volunteer engagement; use feedback for improvement.
