The Brooklyn Museum is seeking a Manager of Public Relations and Communications to lead multi-channel communications, manage media relations, and support program promotion. You will collaborate across departments, construct press materials, and coordinate events such as openings and conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Art History, or communications.
• 3–5 years in museums or cultural organizations.
• Strong media relations and budget oversight.

Responsibilities

• Conceive and manage communications initiatives to promote exhibitions, events, and programs.
• Solicit media attention across all outlets for multiple projects.
• Collaborate with museum departments and external stakeholders to build media relationships.
• Write and promote press releases, media alerts, and briefing materials.
• Organize and maintain press images and media assets.
• Manage media requests and coordinate press events and openings.
• Maintain media contacts database and develop new relationships.
• Support and maintain press room on museum website.
• Other duties as assigned.
