Job summary

Holocaust Museum Houston is seeking an Human Resources Manager to lead the Museum’s HR functions, guide employees, supervisors, and leadership on recruitment, performance management, benefits, and compliance. The role collaborates with third-party HR consultants to ensure effective HR policies and procedures.

The HR Manager will support employee development, conduct performance reviews, and maintain confidential records while aligning with the Museum’s mission and culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, Business Admin, or related field.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible HR experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Museum’s human resources functions.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
• Maintain and administer HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Manage employee benefits, leave administration, workers’ compensation, and unemployment claims.
• Advise supervisors on employee relations, performance, and disciplinary matters.
• Coordinate annual performance reviews and support employee development.
• Maintain confidential personnel records and HRIS data.
