Job summary

Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library seeks a part-time Museum Guide to lead tours of the Winterthur House, delivering engaging interpretations to diverse visitors. Training is provided for Introductory, seasonal, and special tours, with opportunities to design custom experiences.

Responsibilities include ongoing training, ensuring visitor safety, and participating in monthly guides meetings. Availability for weekends, holidays, and peak periods is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of forward-facing customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of similar experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent understanding of the museum collection for visitors, tailoring interpretation to age and knowledge level.
• Guide walking tours and suggest stationary interpretation for self-paced visits.
• Deliver engaging stories aligning with history, global culture, and the Winterthur Story.
