Job summary

Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library seeks a General Services Aide for janitorial duties across museum facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning interiors, moving supplies, and assisting with event setup and takedown; ensuring a clean, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years janitorial experience with a HS diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and cleaning chemicals
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform physical tasks
• Familiarity with OSHA/CDC guidelines is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain general indoor appearance of the building, collect trash from offices, restrooms and lobbies
• Vacuum, mop floors, and perform carpet cleaning; dust and wipe furniture
• Set up conference rooms for training and assist with event setup/takedown
• Ensure disinfection of work spaces and public areas to prevent infectious disease spread
