Job summary

Aspen Art Museum is seeking a friendly Guide to welcome visitors, share insights about current exhibitions, and help guests navigate the galleries, cafe, shop, and sculpture garden. You will operate as the first point of contact and support visitors with information throughout their visit.

The role is full-time, non-exempt, with weekend, evening, and holiday shifts. You will work in a dynamic museum environment, delivering excellent service while maintaining security and order, and you’ll

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with at least two years of customer/guest service experience.
Experience in security, museums, art galleries, or similar environments preferred.
Ability to stand for up to four hours and stay alert in quiet environments.

Responsibilities

Welcome, orient, and direct visitors while discussing current exhibitions and programs.
Staff galleries and service desk as needed and assist visitors with information.
Observe visitors and protect art and people, alerting security when needed.
Assist in emergencies and provide clear, courteous guidance to guests.
