Job summary

Rollins College seeks a Museum Giving Officer for the Rollins Museum of Art to directly solicit leadership gifts of $2,500+ and manage a rotating donor portfolio of 150–200 donors.

Working with the Executive Director and Director of Individual Giving, you will coordinate multi-channel outreach, track activities in the donor database, and help grow annual memberships while collaborating across Institutional Advancement. Occasional evenings and campus events required, with hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • At least two years' of experience in one-to-one leadership-level fundraising, direct sales, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving prospects with the capacity to make annual gifts of $2,500-$10,000 to maximize giving to the RMA.
  • Personally qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of approximately 150-200 current and prospective donors in support of the RMA Executive Director's strategic plan and priorities.
  • Implement an effective schedule of contacts and meetings to meet fundraising and key performance metrics utilizing multi-channel outreach, including personal, in-person visits, special events on campus and in the community, phone, mail, and digital channels.
  • Engage in leadership-level ($2,500+) RMA annual gift solicitations that 1) increase RMA membership through unrestricted gifts to the Friends of the RMA fund, 2) acquire new museum donors, 3) retain current and re-engage lost museum donors, and 4) upgrade giving levels of current museum donors.
  • Work directly with RMA leadership and staff as liaison to support RMA leadership giving opportunities and strategies.
  • Demonstrate effective strategies and utilize best practices in museum fundraising.
  • Record solicitation activities, contacts, correspondence, proposals, and strategy plans in the donor database, and work with Advancement Services staff to ensure proper record administration, and that constituent biographic and contact data maintained in the database is accurate and up to date.
  • Identify prospects as potential major-gift donors for handoff to the major-gift team.
  • Work with departments within Institutional Advancement, including Annual Giving, Major and Planned Giving, Alumni Relations and Donor Relations, to create and implement cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
  • Play a key role in securing RMA challenge donors for Annual Giving initiatives (such as Giving Day).
  • Support the solicitation of unrestricted Fiat Lux Society gifts ($2,500+) from non-RMA donors.
