Job summary

The Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block seeks a Gifts Officer to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, you will manage a dynamic portfolio and develop strategies to grow philanthropic support across the museum.

Responsibilities include donor outreach, events, CRM record-keeping, collaboration across departments, and providing timely stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 2–4 years in donor management or related field.
• Proven success in cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors.
• Strong customer service and front-of-house experience.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Experience with CRM systems (Altru) and Microsoft Office; familiarity with AirTable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of individual donors and prospects.
• Identify, research, and qualify prospective donors and develop cultivation strategies.
• Build and maintain an active pipeline of new donors through networking.
• Conduct donor outreach via visits, calls, letters, and digital communications.
• Facilitate meetings to strengthen relationships and solicit gifts.
• Ensure timely stewardship including acknowledgments and impact reporting.
• Support membership and annual gifts and donor engagement campaigns.
• Plan and support fundraising events and donor cultivation activities.
• Maintain donor records in the museum CRM; prepare reports and LOIs.
• Collaborate across departments for coordinated donor messaging.
• Represent the Museum at events; contribute to a culture of belonging.
