Job summary

The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh is hiring a Gallery Associate to welcome visitors and groups during regular hours and special events. You’ll act as a friendly, informed presence, explain current exhibitions, support ticketing and memberships, and help guests with accessibility needs while safeguarding the collection.

This front-line role requires strong customer service, cash handling, basic computer skills, and the ability to work weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year experience in retail or public contact; cash handling preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to be trained on Tessitura.
• Weekend and evening hours required.
• Love of museums and an interest in art.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide information to enhance their museum experience.
• Operate admissions and ticketing transactions accurately.
• Sell memberships and assist with coat check and accessibility needs.
• Observe safety policies and safeguard the artwork and exhibits.
• Provide directions and help with requested special accommodations.
