Job summary

University of Pennsylvania’s University Museum is hiring a Facility Supervisor to oversee up to seven custodians, coordinate repairs, and maintain a clean, safe space for visitors and staff. You will manage work orders, supervise contractors, and ensure timely occupancy-related tasks across the museum environment.

The role requires a High School Grad/GED with 3–5 years of facilities experience, knowledge of APPA standards, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of facilities, mechanical systems, housekeeping, scheduling and administrative coordination.
• Experience working with in-house unionized workforce.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule work orders daily; supervise up to seven custodians.
• Oversee outdoor facilities, groundskeeping, and koi pond maintenance.
• Serve as primary contact for regional building issues and repairs.
• Operate museum vehicle to source maintenance supplies and manage purchases.
