Job summary

Penn State University’s Office of Physical Plant seeks a Custodial Services Supervisor for weekend operations. You will direct staff and technical personnel to deliver high-quality custodial services while managing resources and coordinating with university departments.

The role is a 4-day/40-hour schedule (Friday–Monday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.), with flexibility for events and campus needs. Prior supervisory experience in custodial services preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff and technical employees.
• Plan work schedules for all shifts.
• Establish cleaning procedures and maintain inventory.
• Inspect work areas for quality and safety; ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain shift records and related documentation.
• Provide coverage for senior custodial supervisors as needed.
• Assist with custodial snow removal.
