Job summary

Auburn University’s Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art is hiring a Facility and Grounds Assistant to help maintain the appearance and operations of the Museum building and property. The role involves a mix of 10 hours per week over two to three shifts, with daytime hours between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

Open to undergraduate students in good standing at Auburn University who will graduate after December 2026.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain curb appeal at street and walkway entrances; report concerns.
• Remove litter, debris, leaves, and weeds from museum grounds.
• Perform simple maintenance tasks such as paint touch-ups or spot cleaning.
• Move furniture, boxes, and other items in staff offices and loading areas.
• Assist on other projects as assigned.
