Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years of experience in groundskeeping operations.
• Working knowledge of plant materials.
• Basic landscape-related skills.
• Ability to safely utilize and operate landscape tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains University grounds using hand tools (shovel, pick, rake) and power tools (weed eater, edger, hedge trimmer, tiller, blower).
• Operates a push and riding mower and utility task vehicles to perform work.
• Performs weed pulling, plant watering, mulch installation, sod installation and debris removal to keep grounds clean.
• Maintains and cleans tools and equipment, checks fluid levels and blade sharpness.
• May meet training and credentialing requirements as outlined by the department.
