Auburn University is seeking a Facilities Student Assistant to help with inspection and maintenance projects in residence halls. You will support management in planning, prepping, and inventory tasks to ensure facilities meet Auburn Property Management standards.
The role is designed for a current student, offering hands-on experience in facilities operations, teamwork with a diverse staff, and opportunities to develop leadership, problem-solving and organization skills while on campus.
Property Management with Student Affairsis excited to begin the search for a Facilities Student Assistantto assist with inspection and maintenance projects within the residence halls’ interior and exterior to ensure facilities are properly maintained to meet Auburn Property Management standards. Assist management in identifying areas of improvement, project planning and preparation, and inventory management.
The position of Facilities Student Assistantwith the department of Property Management exceeds the expectations of a typical student employee. It is distinguished by the responsibility for a wide variety of both routine and non-routine assignments across multiple areas. Due to the nature of the environment, an elevated level of professionalism and interpersonal skills are required.
Must be a currently enrolled student at Auburn University.
Position involves frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching below and above shoulders, and lifting heavy objects and equipment while performing job duties. Wrist, hand, and finger dexterity is required to operate various equipment and materials. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions.
