The Grand Rapids Public Museum is seeking a part-time Building Operations staff member to help keep our facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. Responsibilities include light maintenance, window cleaning, snow removal, and general grounds care across museum locations.

The role requires basic carpentry/maintenance ability, strong interpersonal skills for public interaction, and adherence to safety protocols. Hours include mornings and some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be able to perform manual labor.
• Must have strong people skills; work and communicate diplomatically and courteously with staff, volunteers, guests, departments, and stakeholders.
• Must have the ability to create or modify an efficient maintenance schedule.
• Must be organized, dependable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.

Responsabilidades

• Plows or shovels snow with snow blowers, shovels, or tractors.
• Trash removal.
• Cleans exterior windows at a height of 25-30 feet.
• Performs miscellaneous outdoor maintenance duties at various museum locations.
• Cleans equipment after use and performs basic light maintenance on equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA/MIOSHA standards.
