Job summary

You will direct a division, coordinate cross-office collaboration, and guide construction, safety, and sustainability initiatives across DC and Maryland sites, ensuring long-term reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal Service.
• Experience executing comprehensive facilities planning and operations programs for a large institution, including policies and standards for life safety, security, sustainability, and logistics.
• Ability to advise senior leadership and oversee major renovations and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all integrated facility and logistics functions to align with the museum's strategic plan.
• Direct the Facilities Planning and Operations Division and advise the SI Director on technical and operational matters.
• Coordinate with SI offices to manage an integrated facility program based on strategic priorities.
• Provide guidance on construction projects, relocation plans, and operating logistics.
• Lead the safety program to ensure a safe facility environment for staff, contractors, interns, volunteers, and visitors.
