Job summary

The Smithsonian Institution seeks a Supervisory Program Manager to lead the Facility Capital Program (FCP), directing multi-year capital planning, design, and construction across the Smithsonian's museums, facilities, and infrastructure.

You will oversee priorities, risk management, and performance, while guiding a diverse team of professionals and advising senior leadership on programmatic and financial matters.

Qualifications

• When one year of specialized experience at GS-14 level is met in Federal service.
• Experience in planning, programming, budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and performance monitoring for Design and Construction projects.
• Experience leading a capital improvement program with multiple concurrent projects valued around $175 million annually.
• Two-page resume detailing alignment with responsibilities and specialized experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish program priorities and align scope, schedule, cost, and performance with objectives.
• Identify risks and slippages; evaluate performance and take corrective actions.
• Lead program-level financial management, capital programming, and forecasting.
• Advise senior leadership and represent OPDC with Smithsonian executives and stakeholders.
• Direct and supervise a multidisciplinary staff of program managers, analysts, and support personnel.
• Evaluate program effectiveness, efficiency, quality, workload, and resource utilization.
