Job summary

The Frick Collection in New York is seeking an Assistant Director of Facilities to oversee daily operations across all facilities, reporting to the Head of Engineering and Facilities. The role combines hands-on supervision with managing internal projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of driving operational excellence, with experience in facilities management and project coordination within a museum setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–7 years of experience in facilities management, operations, or project coordination.
• Experience working alongside engineering and custodial teams preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic project management experience (certification a plus).
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred.
• Strong vendor management and communication skills.
