Job summary

Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Event Manager to lead in-house events from conception to completion. The role focuses on increasing museum visibility by planning and coordinating events, managing budgets, vendors, and staff, and ensuring flawless execution on-site.

You will oversee event logistics, liaise with clients and departments, and help identify new community opportunities to engage target audiences while maintaining schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Hospitality Management, marketing, or related field.
• Prior VIP event experience preferred.
• Food Handler Certification required (class provided); Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) certificate preferred.
• Must follow proper food-handling etiquette and direction regarding preparation, handling, storage and disposal of food.
• Must be able to stoop, lift, and carry objects not exceeding 25 pounds. Job requires long periods of walking and standing

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, manage, and supervise the Event Support Staff; responsible for scheduling and timesheets.
• Oversee calendar process; manage EventPro; process EOL requests; enter approved events; generate setup memos; report resources for each event.
• Communicate event requirements; verify event timelines; confirm vendor deliveries and housekeeping needs.
• Generate purchase orders/check requests; reconcile receipts/invoices post-event.
• Manage all aspects of event planning including venue, menus, materials, and budget tracking.
• Plan, design and produce events; manage project delivery within time limits.
• Liaise with vendors; obtain bids; build network of subcontractors.
• Develop and sustain inventory tracking for Event Department; maintain event organization.
• Serve as liaison with clients, vendors, and internal staff during events; assist on-site needs.
