Job summary

The Fort Worth Metro Black Chamber is seeking an Event Manager to plan and execute high-quality museum events from conception to completion. The role focuses on boosting visibility in the community and building stronger ties with target audiences through on-site event execution.

You will hire and supervise Event Support Staff, coordinate calendars with EventPro, manage budgets, vendors, décor, catering, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and managing museum events.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with MS Office and calendar tools.
• Must be able to work early mornings, days, evenings and weekends.
• Experience with budgeting and vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise the Event Support Staff.
• Oversee museum calendar and EventPro calendar processes.
• Coordinate vendor bids, contracts, and on-site operations.
• Develop and manage event budgets and reporting.
• Ensure safety, insurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with clients and internal departments during events.
